Gateway and TEIZA join forces to advance institutional onchain adoption across Southeast Asia and Central Asia
A strategic MoU establishes a framework for institutional use-case development, technical exploration, research, ecosystem engagement, and joint market development.

Kuala Lumpur / Stavanger, August 2026. Gateway.fm and TEIZA have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advancing institutional onchain adoption across Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and relevant international markets.
The MoU establishes a framework for the two companies to combine their respective technology capabilities, institutional networks, market knowledge, and ecosystem presence to identify and develop opportunities across institutional onchain finance.
The collaboration will span joint research, technical and architecture workshops, institutional use-case exploration, ecosystem development, events, market education, and co-go-to-market initiatives. Where clear technical and commercial alignment emerges, the parties will also explore opportunities that may progress toward pilots, integrations, proofs of concept, and broader implementation engagements under separately agreed scopes.
Connecting regional institutional demand with global onchain infrastructure
The partnership comes as Malaysia continues to develop a more structured ecosystem around blockchain, digital assets, and institutional financial applications. TEIZA has been building within this environment through its broader Malaysian ecosystem presence, including the Malaysia Digital Consortium, previously known as Malaysia Blockchain Consortium, and collaborations with organisations such as MASVERSE around interoperability and institutional blockchain adoption.
For Gateway, the MoU represents an expansion of its institutional onchain activity into Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian and Central Asian market. The objective is to identify where institutions, enterprises, and ecosystem participants require practical support to understand, structure, and ultimately implement digital onchain-economy opportunities.
This creates a two-way collaboration: TEIZA contributes regional market knowledge, institutional relationships, and ecosystem access, while Gateway brings infrastructure orchestration, technical implementation experience, institutional-market expertise, and access to its broader international technology and partner network.
Five initial areas of collaboration
The initial framework covers five areas of work, each providing a route from market understanding toward practical institutional adoption while keeping technical and commercial scopes explicit.
- 01
Institutional research and industry development
Joint research, reports, educational content, case studies, and market perspectives covering privacy, interoperability, tokenisation, payments, settlement, compliance, and institutional infrastructure.
- 02
Technical exploration and use-case development
Technical discussions, architecture sessions, consultations, and workshops will begin with the requirements of each institutional opportunity rather than a predefined product or integration.
- 03
Institutional and ecosystem engagement
TEIZA’s regional knowledge and relationships will connect with Gateway’s international institutional, infrastructure, technology, and strategic-partner network.
- 04
Market education, events, and community development
The companies will collaborate on institutional roundtables, technical workshops, conferences, webinars, educational programmes, and other ecosystem initiatives.
- 05
Joint market development and cross-promotion
The framework supports coordinated institutional outreach, co-go-to-market activity, joint content and research, event collaboration, and promotion through both ecosystems.
Building toward deeper engagement
The MoU is designed as the starting point for a progressively deeper relationship rather than a fixed commercial or technical model from day one. Gateway and TEIZA will initially focus on identifying where the strongest market demand, technical alignment, and institutional opportunities exist.
As joint initiatives demonstrate value, the scope can expand into specific technical engagements, pilots, integrations, implementation projects, and commercial opportunities. This gives both organisations room to build the partnership through execution.
Supporting the next phase of institutional onchain adoption
As governments, financial institutions, payment companies, enterprises, and digital-asset businesses move toward real onchain financial applications, adoption increasingly depends on more than access to an individual protocol or technology.
Institutions need to bring together infrastructure, privacy, interoperability, compliance, financial applications, market connectivity, and operational requirements around a specific use case. By combining TEIZA’s regional ecosystem position with Gateway’s institutional infrastructure and orchestration capabilities, the companies intend to create a practical pathway for identifying those opportunities and moving the strongest toward execution.
The partnership begins in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, with the broader ambition of connecting regional institutional ecosystems to the technology, expertise, and infrastructure required for the next generation of onchain finance.
